Into The Always
How strange the day is, the musty sky,
The longing melting deep inside.
A slow heat, like an unreachable itch,
Like the thunder of rockets,
Like molten lava.
Further into darkened space,
Disappeared without a trace.
The glistening of a new leaf,
Tender, soft, the greenest green.
That’s what you were to me.
What will the days bring?
It’s a question how well I do.
For without you,
The ghost of remembrance stands behind me,
Sometimes touching.
I feel you
but
can’t see where you are.
Is it only in my mind?
We are connected
throughout all known and unknown universes,
Light and dark,
In and out,
through and through.
This love
is the
Universal string of light,
Not for the eye.
A lacey delicateness,
The steel bridge of hope that binds
me to you.
Your music plays into the always,
It’s impression has been layered,
Woven into my fabric.
And though I may often find it hard to walk,
I will always carry you with me.
